Images of anchor stock attachment for manufacturing

The above shows the stock disconnected and folded.
The tab washer welded to curved end of stock ensures that the stock cannot slip out and be lost.

The above shows the stock in place and clipped (locked)
You may wish to use a short length of chain and a shackle.

The above shows the stock unclipped and partially slid but its 'boss' still in place in the main frame

The above shows the stock disconnected and 'boss' withdrawn slightly showing the stock hole is bigger 'dia' than the stock

This shows that the bigger diameter hole enables the bend to slide through

Manufacturers notes: The old way was to have the stock loosely fitting into the frame so as to enable the stock to be folded. As we prefer to have a better and tighter fit, we weld a 2-3" tube over the stock so that when in its 'ready to use' position the stock is a good fit.

As the manufacturer you have a number of options. You may on the smaller anchors wish to simply weld the stock crossbar permanently in position.

In the larger anchors rather than make a raised boss, it may be best to have the stock hole a millimetre or two larger than the stock, and instead of bending the end of the stock you simply bend thinner bar and weld it to the end of the stock. Eg, if the stock is 40 mm, then bend a 30 mm section of bar about 10" long and after welding it to the stock and passing it through the anchor frame you weld a 50 mm end plate so that it cannot come out.

The length of the stocks listed in the specs sheet is a minimum length, and you may wish to add 10% or more to suit yourself. The longer the stock the easier it is for the anchor to position one of its flukes into a downwards position.
